π§π½ United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 seeks to achieve Gender equality across the world by 2030.
π€ Do you know that nearly 1 in 4 girls aged 15-19yrs globally are not in education, employment or training compared to 1 in 10 in boys.
πΏ 20% of Nigerian women live with a disability, they face stigma and suffer injustice because of gender based violence.
π1 in 144 females have Autism,
- They receive diagnosis later than males
-They are more impaired by their autism
-Increased evidence of social anxiety,anorexia nervosa and self harm than boys with autism but have greater capacity for typical friendships higher social motivation than boys.
π₯ Women and girls with disabilities face 3x discrimination than boys.
π Girls have potential to change the world both as the empowered girls of today and as tomorrow’s workers,mothers, entrepreneurs,household heads and political leaders.
πTear down barriers of discrimination and prejudice that continue to hold girls back.
π©πΌβπDigital education can enhance their knowledge and provide them with skills to identify and correct information from false ones and use internet safely and confidently.
πLet us
π§π½βπValue the strengths of girls and women especially those with special needs.
π§π½βπ¦°Give them the right to education, health and equality so they can have a healthy matured life.
π§βπ³Give them opportunities to various therapies by not leaving them at home because of their gender.
